30 Day Song Challenge – Day 30

day 30 – your favourite song at this time last year

This is a song that Miss B was obsessed with last year πŸ™‚

Here we are at the end of it all and I have decided that I am going to post more tunes. The last 30 days has connected me back to a lot of stuff I’ve not listened to in a long time and shown me how much my taste has changed too.

a song from your childhood

30 Day Song Challenge – Day 29

day 29 – a song from your childhood

I was brought up in the 80’s and a love the cheesy tunes, so I could have picked any number of songs for this category.

This was played at my 5th birthday party back in 1986. It was my 1 and only birthday party growing up and when I hear it I go straight back there πŸ™‚

a song that you wish you could play

30 Day Song challenge – Day 27

day 27 – a song that you wish you could play

I would like to learn the guitar but Mr B bought me one a few years ago and it just sat and got dusty for 6 months. I think I will stick to air guitar πŸ™‚

I Love this, I’ve seen Biffy live sooo many times and love how fast this is and when live, it pulses through your whole body

a song that you can play on an instrument

30 Day Song Challenge – Day 26

day 26 – a song that you can play on an instrument

I can’t really play an instruments to be honest. When I was 11 I wanted to learn piano and my Mum let me go to lessons.  I can play The Grand Old Duke of York and When the Saints Go Marching In, that is it!

So my question is, Does rock band count? πŸ™‚

It’s fair to say that Mr B loves his XBox and we have Lips and Rock Band, World Tour. I have tried the guitar but am a bit pants, but I can sing so all is not lost:D

a song that you want to play at your funeral

30 Day Song Challenge – Day 24

day 24 – a song that you want to play at your funeral

I really struggled with this topic, but I think this sums it all up what I wanted to say.

Every time I hear this song , I get taken back to the end of Cruel Intentions with Reece Wetherspoon driving Ryan Phillipes car down the motorway and I love it.

I hope by the time my funeral comes I can look back at my life and be happy with the path I’ve chosen and be comforted that in the thought that although life is hard and threw obstacles in my way, that I was determined enough to keep on going.

a song that you want to play at your wedding

30 Day Song Challenge – Day 23

day 23 – a song that you want to play at your wedding

Mr B and I got married 6 and a half years ago and decided that we didn’t want any old cheesy dj, so we provided our guy with lots of cds with our favourite songs and clear instructions of what we wanted played.

The floor was full all night and I have amazing memories of bouncing around in my gorgeous wedding dress and dancing like a crazy burd!

I walked down the aisle to Everlong by the Foo Fighters (Song 1 in this challenge) and walked back up to Good Riddance (Time of your life) by Greenday. This was our last dance and everytime I hear it I get taken back to the last few minutes of our special day and it never fails to put a smile on my face.

Enjoy πŸ™‚
